Tribeca in 2009
Tribeca GalleryCafe & Books was established in April of 2007. We
are located in the heart of Historic Watertown. Our charming cafe offers a
terrific espresso bar, delicious teas and smoothies, select wines, pastries,
sweets, light eating options including soup in the cold seasons. Our
bookstore includes new and used books. Tribeca is Watertown's only locally
owned and operated full service book store. We specialize in carrying many of
the mainstream bestsellers, yet also carry many unique titles along
with a large selection of Wisconsin books and local and regional authors.
Our children's book selection is quaintly located in our upper loft, which
is also where our children's storytime is held.
Tribeca, the name, the location, the lifestyle.
The neighborhood of Tribeca is located in the heart of Manhattan in New York
City. The name is the formation of three distinct points in Manhattan,
which form a vibrant, rich, and artistic community. Hence the name comes
from "TRIangle BElow CAnal Street. My joy in visiting this charming
neighborhood has provided me with some wonderful memories, and that visceral
warmth of being part of a diverse and friendly community. Some of my
memories include the terrific museums, delicious bistros, art galleries,
boutiques, and coffeehouses. In a sense, I have tried to bring a little
of those memories to our storefront located in my hometown of Watertown
Wisconsin.
In
the neighborhood.
Being part of the community is a passion of
ours. We believe strongly in supporting other local businesses and
supporting many of the local community events and charitable
organizations. We also strive to provide an interesting,
educational, and artistic venue for many organizations. Our "Green
Room" is available for use for many small group gatherings, be it a book
club or business meeting. At Tribeca, we offer many author book
signings, artist showcasing, Enthusiast classes which provide an
indepth look at various interests such as coffee tastings, wine tastings, and
home beer brewing. Our location is also the home of the Watertown High
School Photography Show which is held twice a year.
